Multiple Intelligences

Conceived in 1983 by Dr Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University, the Multiple Intelligences are eight different ways to demonstrate intellectual ability. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults.

Sunflower adopts these principles into its daily curriculum to bring out the strength in every Sunflower kid. We believe that a child should not be learning the way we teach, instead, we should be teaching the way they learn.

Current Affairs Discussion

We discuss current affairs with our children to open their eyes and encourage them to talk about their feelings.
In-House Chinese Curriculum

Using Higher Chinese as the standard, we prepare an in-depth Chinese curriculum to give them an edge in their mother tongue.
Early Intervention

We have inclusion coordinators in our centres to identify and support children with developmental needs.
Outdoor Lessons

Aside from letting our children experience nature and the outdoors, we bring our children around the centre’s neighbourhood to interact with the residents in the area, building up their confidence in the process.
